Our Body is A Vessel

I like the word vessel in the ceramics making. The vessel is what you make with clay, it contains the idea in your head, the making from your hand, and the often happy accidents if you choose to accept them with grace.
I feel our body is like a vessel too. It contains our immense mind which can travel extraordinary speed but can also slow down to a still space, our body which takes air, water, food to give us vitality and life, and the space in between where our body and mind connect.
Like when we touch someone we love, we use our whole body and mind to feel. Like when we focus on things we love doing, the vessel would radiate so much light and centre that we can feel we will never be lost again.
I always crave that, the oneness of the mind and the body. It is a continuous draw for me to listen and look for things that are really important to me, like friendships that really nurture, art that really touches, places that feel like home.
One friend of mine once said that when you are really true to yourself, the whole universe would want to stop and listen. I think what she meant is that authenticity , through the way we walk the earth. The energy we carry is like the outer space of the vessel. There is so much we can look at the outer space to have a feel of the inside.
And sometimes when we find a vessel that is so vast, we would want to stop and look and that is often where many of the beautiful things start.
